Hello everyone,

I hope your new year has already been just as much of a ride for you as it has for us! Last year was without question our busiest yet, with over 175 new faces walking through our doors, while continuing to serve our existing patients. Jasmine, Brielle, Muriel, and I would like to sincerely thank you for your continued support and trust, and for helping us continue doing what we're most passionate about for a living: helping others get better and move on stronger. Last year, we had the privilege of watching many of you invest an incredible amount of time, energy, and effort into pursuing your goals, whether that meant training for an upcoming competition, dealing with a significant functional disability, recovering from surgery, treating a sports injury, or simply focusing on improving your overall wellness, fitness, and physical readiness. Watching you all make progress, build confidence, and achieve those goals is what makes this work so meaningful to us.

While many of you see us as part of your ongoing care, a large number of our patients reach a point where they no longer need us, either because they’ve fully recovered, gained the skills and knowledge they need, or feel confident managing things independently. So, even though we've seen so many new faces over the past year, we’re always happy to welcome new patients into the clinic, while continuing to work with and support our existing patients and clients in feeling strong, confident, and staying active.

We wish you all continued success and more in the year ahead and are here to support you whenever you need us. As always, we remain committed to giving you our very best. - Mark

We Need Another Physio!

We’re currently looking for a part-time physiotherapist to join the physiobox team. This position includes one weekend shift and one to two weekday shifts, with the potential to grow into full-time work as the role and clinic continue to expand.

This role is ideal for a physiotherapist with 2–3+ years of experience, who is fully registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta, and who enjoys one-on-one, gym-based care. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates a genuine commitment to health and fitness through their own lived experience, and who values autonomy, collaboration, and helping people achieve their best possible outcomes.

physiobox is a small, independent clinic that prioritizes longer appointments, low patient volumes, and thoughtful, movement-focused, evidence-based care. We’re committed to giving clinicians the time and space to do their best work, while fostering professional growth, an exceptional team culture, and a sustainable approach to practice.

If this sounds like a good fit or if you know someone who might be interested, we’d love to connect.

Introducing Online Programming with Brielle

If you enjoy training on your own but want a plan that feels thoughtful, realistic, expertly crafted and built around you, we’re excited to share that Brielle is now offering online-only fitness programming and coaching.

This option provides expert structure without the need for regular in-person sessions and is designed for individuals who don’t require ongoing physiotherapy or in-person training, but still want a well-designed plan to support their training, recovery, or long-term health.

Programs are tailored to your goals, injury history, and training background, and are updated monthly and adjusted as needed over time. Clients enjoy access to programming and communications through TrainHeroic, an industry-leading coaching and fitness app.

Brielle has provided coaching to a wide range of clients, from athletes competing at the provincial, national, and international levels, to individuals managing chronic pain or injury, youth athletes looking to improve performance and prevent injury, adults managing chronic health conditions looking to stay strong and fit, and people of all ages striving for lifelong fitness and independence. An accomplished athlete herself, Brielle is headed to Quebec later this year to compete in the Canadian Junior Weightlifting Championships.

If you’re interested in learning more or think this could be a good fit for you, get in touch with Brielle by booking online for a free consult or getting in touch with her here at brielle@physiobox.ca.

A Quick Reminder About Massage Therapy

January can be a busy month for getting back into routines, and it’s also a great time to check in on how your body is feeling and moving. Whether it’s to optimize your training, relieve work and life stress, support a new fitness routine, or simply ease back into movement after the holidays.

Massage can be used on its own or alongside physiotherapy and training, and many people find it especially helpful during periods of high stress or when returning to regular activity after some time off.

If massage therapy has been part of your care in the past, or if you’ve been meaning to try it, January is a great time to book in. Appointments are available with Jasmine, whose thoughtful and attentive approach continues to receive exceptional feedback. She is a true star within her profession, whether you are a competitive athlete, looking to combat office stress and fatigue, or recovering from injury or disability, and we’re grateful to have her as part of the team. For those of you who have been waiting to get in, don’t forget that most extended health benefits reset at the start of the year!

Thanks for trusting us with your care. The best compliment is always the referral of a friend or family member, or by supporting your practitioner and leaving a review.

Wishing you all happiness and good health!
